Idąc śladami swoich poprzedników, film "Szybcy i wściekli: Tokio Drift" prezentuje najnowszy rozdział w cieszącej się niezwykłą popularnością serii, która do tej pory przyniosła na całym świecie wpływy w wysokości ponad 443 milionów dolarów. Opuszczając amerykańskie ulice, udajemy się do postmodernistycznego Tokio, gdzie puls bije szybciej, a zawrotne wyścigi przyprawiają o zawrót głowy i przyspieszone bicie serca. "Szybcy i wściekli: Tokio Drift" to historia Seana Boswella, który zawsze był outsiderem. Ten typ samotnika, wyobcowanego zarówno w domu rodzinnym, jak i poza nim, odnajduje związek z obojętnym mu otaczającym światem jedynie poprzez nielegalne wyścigi samochodów, które dodatkowo nie przysporzyły mu popularności wśród lokalnych przedstawicieli władzy.
